Our Terms of Service
Before you pick up your brushes and dive into the vibrant world of acrylics, let's establish the ground rules. These terms ensure a safe, creative, and respectful environment for everyone at Nova Canvas.
Have you ever wondered why clear boundaries matter in art? They protect your time, our instructors, and the community we're building together in New York.
Cancellation & Refunds
We're artists, so we understand life can be unpredictable. However, preparing our palettes and reserving your spot requires resources. If you can't make it, we require at least 24-hour notice for a full credit toward another workshop.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice won't be eligible for refunds or credits. We've got to keep the studio running smoothly!
Booking Integrity
All bookings are personal. You'll need to confirm your details at the door. If you're booking for a group, please ensure everyone's on the same page about our conduct rules.
Studio Conduct
Respect is our masterpiece. We don't tolerate any behavior that disrupts the creative flow of others. Clean up your station at 108 Troutman Street and treat the art supplies like they're your own precious tools.
Liability Waiver
Acrylic painting involves pigments, chemicals, and occasionally sharp tools. By participating in our workshops, you assume responsibility for your personal safety. Nova Canvas isn't liable for spills on your favorite designer shirt or any accidental injuries sustained during the instruction.
Wear your apron. It's there for a reason!
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the class is cancelled by the studio? In the rare event that we have to cancel, you'll receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule immediately. We've only had to do this twice in 4 years.
Do I need to sign a physical paper? You'll be asked to digitally sign our liability release upon your first check-in at the studio. Don't worry, it's quick.
Can I bring my own materials? While we recommend our curated supplies, you're welcome to bring your own. Just note that we can't be responsible for their quality or performance during the session.
